The current public K-12 educational system in Providence and other inner-city schools are failing the children of Rhode Island and they are not providing the necessary quality education and services that students require to succeed. We have some of the highest costs per student in the country for K-12 public education, and some of the lowest performance rates to show for it, proving that throwing money at systemic problems doesn't solve them. If elected, I promise to fight for school accountability to the communities they serve. I will also fight to I will support the expansion of charter schools so that more families will be able to have options for the education of their children.
